This Saturday January 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. Pacific time you're invited to be listening in on the debut of my brand new Blog Talk Radio Show called "Push the Reset Button!"
The show celebrates people who've reinvented themselves after age 40. Each show will include an interview that includes the story of someone's experience reinventing some aspect of their life.
I believe that midlife doesn't have to involve a "crisis". Instead of a "midlife crisis", one of the most productive things anyone can do after 40 is to look at what's no longer working in their lives and consider what could work instead. This is the beginning of "reinvention" a crucial developmental process I encourage everyone to embrace.
Reinvention can involve 1 specific area or aspect of your life, or it can involve more than 1. It can be as circumscribed or global as you want it to be. Sometimes small targeted changes can have a profound impact in your life (e.g. creating a new habit) and sometimes more of an overhaul is in order (e.g. a career change).
"Push the Reset Button" will showcase midlife reinvention through the stories of the people I'll interview.
My very first guests will be Judith Sherven, PhD and Jim Sniechowski, PhD who are a best selling husband and wife psychology team and the leading voice for soft sell, heart-based marketing. They are committed to bringing consciousness and conscience, caring and connection into the heart-beat of commerce around the world.
Judith and Jim have reinvented themselves a few times during their lives and that's what we'll be talking about. You'll also hear about their new book The Heart of Marketing: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back (Morgan James Publishing, May 2009).
